Minutes not consumed. Losing balance instead

How does minute work on Skitto ? I bought minutes for first time ever. It does not allow me to call with zero balance. So, I had to reliad Tk. 50. After a call, I see I have only 32 tk left and I still have the minutes I had before the call. IT MAKES NO SENSE ! 
What is even the use of buying 100 mins !!!!
